Manage and track your DeFi portfolio using Zapper
Managing your financial assets while interacting with DeFi is a very important part of the new user learning process and can actually be quite difficult and time consuming if you are using multiple protocols at the same time. Personally, my favourite portfolio tracker to use is Zapper finance. This easy-to-use protocol allows me to manage my assets from the Polygon network, Ethereum mainnet, and even Optimistic Ethereum from one simple easy to use interface.
What is Zapper?
Zapper is an easy-to-use DeFi portfolio manager. The protocol allows the user to track all of their DeFi assets from one simple interface, as well as allowing the user to invest into the latest opportunities available in the open financial system. A portfolio tracker is a simple tool yet provides a most valuable service to the user, and I highly recommend anyone who is new to this space to utilize one, it will make your life a lot easier.
Features provided by the Zapperverse
1. Cross Chain Tracking
Once you are set up with this protocol you will be able to view all of your assets under one tab. These assets will be in the correct order and categorized under the correct network that they are currently stored on. This is possible because one of the main features of the Zapper protocol is the ability to manage your assets from Polygon, Ethereum mainnet, Optimistic Ethereum (new and currently in Alpha launch), and even BSC. This feature is important as it will save you the time of having to constantly switch networks to view your assets.
2. Token Swaps (Exchanges)
Another handy feature that Zapper provides us with is the ability to complete various token swaps. This saves the user time by providing the user directly with a swap service rather than having to go via Uniswap, Sushiswap or another protocol. (Zapper will pick which of these exchange protocols is offering the best rate and complete the swap for you).
3. Liquidity Pools
Through this interface the user is also able to interact and deposit into various liquidity pools provided by other various protocols such as Aave or Alchemix (there are many more). Once the user has deposited funds into the selected pool, they are able to view their current position within that pool via the ‘Pools’ interface, located in the zapper menu.
4. Cross Chain Bridging
Another useful tool within this protocol is the bridging tool. This feature allows the user to migrate some or all of their assets from the Ethereum mainnet to the Polygon network. This may save some time if you don’t know how to use the regular Polygon bridge, but either way is fine.
Here I have listed the four most interesting and useful features of this protocol. I myself, use Zapper all of the time to manage my portfolio, and have occasionally used the bridge to migrate assets as well. So, if you are relatively new to crypto, this protocol is definitely worth checking out, and if you need extra learning materials to navigate the Zapper interface, you can always check out the blog from Zapper learn here
Have a good week everyone!
